WHOLE FOODS MARKET MAKES DONATION TO HELP ICE COMPLEX CELEBRATE ITS 25TH ANNIVERSARY.
Huntsville, AL– Whole Foods Market, located on Memorial Parkway, is supporting The Benton H. Wilcoxon Municipal Ice Complex in a big way by donating to the Ice Complex’s upcoming 25th Anniversary and Fundraiser.
The Benton H. Wilcoxon Municipal Ice Complex (Huntsville Ice Complex) has been in its current location on Leeman Ferry Road for 25 years and is partnering with the Huntsville Havoc to recognize this important milestone. The Ice Complex will offer free public skating sessions throughout the afternoon on April 1st and will have inflatables, food trucks, and more on site to make sure the community has a great way to spend the afternoon. During the skating sessions figure skaters will also be performing demonstrations. Whole Foods Market will be at the Ice Complex during the skating sessions with snacks and information about clean and healthy living.
Later in the day the Ice Complex will team up with the Huntsville Havoc and Whole Foods Market to host a hockey game featuring hockey greats of years past entitled The Chaos Classic. Ticket holders will receive free entry to The Huntsville Havoc game immediately following the event. During Half Time Whole Foods will be sponsoring a Chuck a Puck contest where participants will try to toss pucks into a container at center-rink. The winner will receive a gift basket and gift card from the eco-friendly grocery store which specializes in organic and natural products.
The following day, April 2nd, the Ice Complex and the Huntsville Havoc Booster Club will be hosting the 25th Anniversary Casino Night and Silent Auction at the VBC Propst Arena.
“We are excited to continue our partnership with the Huntsville Havoc and the Havoc Booster Club to host our 25th Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser at the Propst Arena,” said Benton H. Wilcoxon Municipal Ice Complex Facility Manager, Steve Clough.
